IATA and its member airlines will work to identify how to help combat human trafficking.
IATA’s commitment follows keynote addresses by United Nations Office on Drugs and news network CNN at the IATA AGM in Cancun.
“The practice is despicable and the scale at which it operates is shocking,” said IATA Director General and CEO Alexandre de Juniac.
“Airlines are already helping to combat this individually. And over the next year we will explore what we can do together.”
