IATA signs agreement with Argentine government

Peter Cerda, IATA’s Regional Vice President for the Americas, says a new agreement signed with the Argentine government will “open the door” for further development of air transport in the country.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focuses on the exchange of information and expertise in areas such as data sharing to support safety operations, the modernization of air traffic management, and optimization of airport fuel storage.

“Already aviation contributes $9.6 billion to GDP and 300,000 jobs in Argentina and we are certain that this agreement will only increase our industry’s contributions to the country,” Cerda added.
