Saudia Cargo boss to offer expertise and advice on issues including cargo security, technology, and distribution.
 

Saudia Cargo Chief Executive Omar bin Talal Hariri has been appointed to the IATA Cargo Committee.

Hariri has joined the 19-strong committee which oversees issues such as cargo security and safety; cargo technology and automation; cargo handling; cargo distribution; cargo-related regulatory developments, cargo trade facilitation and agent and carrier relations.

The committee is one of six IATA main industry committees representing different global airlines.

IATA's Cargo Committee advises the Board of Governors, the Director General and other relevant IATA bodies on all air cargo industry issues.

The committee is one of six IATA main industry committees representing different global airlines. The others are Finance, Environment, Industry Affairs, Legal and Operations.

Before rising to the role of Chief Executive at Saudia Cargo in February, Hariri held different senior posts in a number of companies during his career, and has expertise in dealing with supply, logistics, and transportation.
