Singapore, Kenya and the UAE also expected to ratify MP14 soon

Paraguay has become the latest country to ratify Montreal Protocol 2014 (MP14), an important global treaty that gives greater powers to prosecute unruly passenger behavior on flights.

Paraguay is the 11th country to commit to MP14. A total of 22 states must adopt the protocol before it comes into force.

IATA is encouraging more governments to ratify the treaty, with Singapore, Kenya and the UAE expected to commit soon.
